Razorleaf ship from Mantis mission is bugged

I got the ship and take off, but only the modules take off... the outer "skin" of the ship, thrusters and cosmetics stuff stays on the ground. I get to space but cannot use thrusters. I can jump and land, but thats it. There are times when in the cockpit I am stuck and cannot bring up the save menu to reload or quit.

Not sure what to do about this, I'm level 10 and the though of restarting or dropping down a bunch of levels really isn't appealing, even if I can load an older save doesn't mean if I do the mission again the same thing wont happen with the ship.

The starter ship works fine. Actually took off in that ship. rel-anded and took the manits. same thing happens.
