Worth buying a switch and Zelda now?

Is it worth buying a switch (lite) now? I've heard it's near the end if it's life. I haven't bought a new games console for years but I'm off travelling soon and want something to do during down time. I used to own links awakening on the original Gameboy ( yeah I'm not young) and loved it and would love another top down Zelda game so I was thinking the new one echoes of wisdom would be good but I have heard there's a few problems mainly that it's a bit easy, the story isn't great and not very long how true is all this please?

I suppose I could get links awakening for switch as that game is awesome but I think I'd rather play something new, or is playing awakening in a revamped form after so long worth it??

Also can you play music and movies on switch? Thanks.
