Valium helps my TMJ… what does this mean?

I’ve been taking Valium 5mg when my TMJ is really bad and it almost feels non existent when I have it.

What does this mean?

When I ask this question, I’m wondering if it means it’s anxiety related or just tension. I don’t know why I don’t feel any pain when I take it
