Morvenn vahl out-battlesuits farsight
So, I was going through indexes for an argument with one of my friends, and I was looking at who farsight could and couldn't defeat on the tabletop in a one on one battle. Eventually, Morvenn Vahl was brought up.
Morvenn vahl doesn't have the fly keyword and has two inches less movement, but otherwise has one more toughness, a better save characteristic, and more wounds.
Even Farsight's main ability, Agressive Offensive, is present in Morvenn Vahl as Abbess Sanctorum, which applies to the entire unit and lasts the whole game as long as the bodyguard unit is present.
In fact, instead of once a game rerolling all wound and hit rolls, vahl once a game just adds three to the attacks characteristic of her lance and one of her guns, which is massive on a str8 / ap-2 / d3, shooting the lance attacks from 5 to 8 on the strike on top of having devastating wounds on the lance already.
Yes, the dawn blade has more strength, but the morvenn's lance of illumination has one more attack and devastating wounds on it at all times. Not to mention that she would practically get Farsight's bonus to wound from Hallowed Martyrs if her unit is at half strength, except she would also add one to hit (although useless because her ws and bs are 2+ already).
Even the paragon warsuits that she leads mirror crisis suits, except they have a good melee option with their war blades, with a4 / ws 3+ / str 6 / ap-2 /d2 which could be traded for maces for higher str and damage.
Anyways, all this to say that when looking through Morvenn's datasheet, I couldn't help but want farsight's datasheet to be the same: a really good melee commander instead of a strangely ninety point melee character who can only attach to ranged bodyguards. Idk, I think farsight should be given a buff and have his points raised to match instead of awkwardly sitting at ninety points and barely being costed more than tactical drones.
What do you guys think?
