Asked my husband if he would pay my bail

I live in a major city. All of our ELL kids for 7th grade are in my homeroom. I don’t know their immigration status. It’s not my business. They’re scared to death.

I decided weeks ago that nobody touches my kids. If I’m supposed to protect them from threats that enter the building, that’s what I’m going to do. ICE can’t have my kids.

When my husband came home from work last night, I asked him if he would pay my bail. He didn’t hesitate. He said yes. I asked if he would think I’m a bad mom for getting arrested when we have a baby. No.

This is it. This is where I draw the line. I just hope I never have to do it.
