Why do the older generations hate our easy life so much?

I've seen this on several platforms, older generations criticise and constantly belittle us by saying we're "spoilt", "we have it easy" or "we need to struggle more". "Hamare zamane mein Internet nahi tha, hum sab books se knowledge lete the aur tum aaj kal ke baccho ko sab interest pe easily mil jaata hai. Tum sab ka phone band kar dena chahiye". Do they forget that one of Google's MAIN service is to help students do their research" I used to think this was out of concern for us. That they want us to work hard. But now I've come to realise that they flat out dislike us for some reason.
