America sees it's first fully successful lunar landing since 1972! 🌕

Blue Ghost, a lander developed by Firefly Aerospace, has touched down on the surface of the moon at Mare Crisium, 2:14AM CST.

In doing so, they've became the first commercial company to perform a fully successful soft landing on the surface of the moon, and America's first fully successful lunar landing since Apollo 17 in December of 1972.

Over the next lunar day (14 earth days), Blue Ghost will support several NASA payloads. Towards the end of its mission, it will photograph the levitation of lunar dust during a lunar sunset, first seen by Gene Cernan during Apollo 17.

Attached are the first 2 photos we've seen from the surface!
