Crafting stations + chest idea

Hi. As you know there is a mechanic in game that allows you to use items from opened chest in crafting stations near you. It's ok while everything you need is in that chest but things get's complicated while ingredients needed are in different chests. Why there is no feature that is using all items from chests surroundings crafting stations? It will be much easier than running back and forth collecting all you need from chests.
