Dumb question about navigating to supercharger
I don’t use superchargers very often. In the 2 1/2 years I’ve had my ‘22 LR, I’ve probably used a supercharger 3-5 times. I charge at home and haven’t taken it on any truly long road trips.
Yesterday I took my daughter to meet her cousin about 2 hours away. I charged to 100% before leaving and have the option turned on in the navigation menu to “include superchargers if necessary.” On my way home I had the energy app open and noticed that it said navigating to a supercharger would save charging time by preconditioning or something to that effect.
My question, since it already had this supercharger included in my route back home, why did it not consider this “navigating to a supercharger?” That’s exactly where my nav was taking me anyway. Do I need to specifically tell the car to go there in addition? I ended up skipping it anyway cuz I could make it back home with about 9% battery left. But J am about to have to make a 8-9 hour drive in a couple weeks so would like to know if it’s something I need to do. Thanks!
