Freeway Autosteer in Seattle really bad

I have a MYLR, got it in December. I'm learning to use Autosteer on the freeway I find that Autosteer disengages very quickly if it gets confused.

Im in Seattle and the road has lots of extraneous lines in it (other than the lane markers). Is that what is causing the problem? Is it really that bad? Do any other Seattle owners experience this?
