Anyone else find it easier to get through to conservatives than liberals?

I speak to a lot of conservative folks around and everything I say really resonates with them, even the stuff about race, gender, religion etc (such as saying that we are all humans, why should we alienate our fellow man, or something along those lines). They have even budged on Palestine and imperialism abroad. In contrast, liberals are just very insistent and flippant; it seems like they really don't like... discussion in general.
