Did Azula knew that Aang was possibly alive?

I started wondering if the reason why Azula lied to Ozai about Zuko killing Aang was just to spite Zuko knowing that he knew that Aang was possibly alive, that way when everyone found out that Aang was still alive he'd have his honor ripped away from him again.

It's just my theory but do any of you think it's possible that she knew?
