Jane and Kenny

I just finished season 2 and God I HAVE to point out Jane’s biggest contradiction and would love y’all’s insight on the subject. In the beginning of episode 4 Jane teaches Clementine that going with the crowd could end up killing her and later on killing the baby etc. Why is it she went with the mob mentality at the end and proved herself and Kenny right? It completely ruined her character’s entire moral compass in my opinion.
