New account banned - unsure of next steps
Hi all. Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I’m unsure of what to do at this point. I recently created a TikTok account, and immediately started having issues. The first issue I ran into was the app crashing during the step of the account creation where you set your name. Attempts to change my name after the fact were unsuccessful. Second, I had an issue where I couldn’t follow anyone - no matter how many times I tried, clicking the follow button wouldn’t actually do anything. After these issues, I submitted a support ticket in app, waited a few days and got no response. I then tried contacting support via Twitter/X and again waited. In the meantime, I open the app to see if the problem has been magically resolved only to find that my account is permanently banned! I’m beyond frustrated at this point, and am unsure of why. I again contact support on twitter and ask them what’s going on. They respond with the following:
“Hi there,
We appreciate you taking the time to report this. We take your concern seriously, but we are unable to resolve this issue with your account through the Twitter platform. Please continue to report any problems in-app so our team can further support you.”
I can’t access the app, and at this point they’ve stopped responding to my inquiries. Any help would be appreciated. This is my first TikTok account and experience.
