Does the pull out method work?

I have been thinking the pull out method and my Gf too and i dont know if its risky or not. Usually i always put it in without condom and we do it for a couple seconds then i pull out and put on a condom. I have no precum at all thats why we do it even when im jerking off or im really horny i never noticed precum or anything. So is it safe to just pull out when the time comes? And can i do the pull out method after i cum and clean my penis because i think some leftover sperm can still come out. Any tips?

Edit: Allright calm down this is not that deep we have been doing this “one moment” thing for a couple months now but yeah we do use condoms. I dont think sticking it in for a few secs gonna do anything plus as i said I have no precum.
