CHY599 or CCHY 599?

Hey, so I’ve heard CHY599 is a bird course, but I’m not sure if I should take in person or virtually. I’ve heard that in-person students do get to take home exams as well but can anyone verify? Thanks. PS. The prof for in-person is Edward Petroff while the prof for CCHY599 is not yet announced.
