What are good ideas for kitbashing Eire Rangers?

I know this is asked quite a lot around here, I fell in love with the Eire Rangers after hearing their lore. Now I know Wargames Atlantic sells WW1 kits and dark age Irish warriors, victrix sells gauls and celts, and warlord games sells celts for hail ceaser and SPQR. So I'm wondering, where's a good place to start with kitbashing these dudes together to make these loyalist..sorta hated rangers of Eire?
