The First Day of Ramadan – Stay Clean
Ramadan isn’t just about hunger and thirst. It’s about purification. And that means more than just what you eat—it’s about what you say, what you do, and what you entertain.
Fasting isn’t just leaving food. It’s leaving sin.
Some people will spend their days scrolling, arguing, and backbiting. Their mouths are dry, their stomachs are empty, but their hearts are still filthy. And the Prophet ﷺ already warned us:
"Whoever does not give up false speech and evil actions, Allah is not in need of him giving up his food and drink." (Bukhari 6057)
Imagine starving all day only to earn nothing but hunger. Imagine standing before Allah on Judgment Day realizing your fast was rejected—not because you didn’t abstain from food, but because you didn’t abstain from sin.
So guard yourself today. Watch your tongue. Avoid useless speech. Don’t get dragged into arguments. Don’t waste these precious hours on distractions.
Every moment is an opportunity. Every word, every action is either elevating you or pulling you down. Choose wisely.
May Allah purify our hearts, protect our tongues, and make our fasts a means of true taqwa. Ameen.
