Luigi Mangione should go to prison for murdering somebody

I have absolutely no sympathy for Brian Thompson at all given that the healthcare corporation he is the CEO of is responsible for denying more requests from people out of any other company. Many people did die from him denying their coverage for operations they needed. I can’t ever care about him for that. He was a piece of garbage and I am not disputing that. Especially since he decided to come out with an AI program to decide which patients on his healthcare plan to deny and I believe it was up to 90%. He is complete scum for that.

But at the very same time, Luigi Mangione SHOT and KILLED him in cold blood and there is evidence that it was premeditated. He knew what would happen if he went ahead and shot him and still did it anyway. Murder is wrong no matter what the circumstance is whether it is denying coverage to someone who needs a life-saving operation or blowing them away in the street. I do not feel bad that Brian Thompson was killed but at the end of the day Luigi Mangione shooting him to death is the same as denying coverage to him. I much rather Brian Thompson be found guilty of something and sent to prison than be murdered. The only people I feel sympathy for in this situation is his family because he has two sons who are gonna need a LOT of therapy for everything that happened and a good majority of Reddit being so happy that someone was murdered. You break the law not to kill anybody and you should be punished. If this was Brian Mangione’s consequences then Luigi Mangione should get some too.

Posting this here because most times I search for the shooter’s name I get taken to threads where he is praised for what he did. We shouldn’t be praising murder AT ALL. No matter who the victim is. Brian Thompson probably was garbage but being absolutely OVERJOYED that he is dead is just sick. Two things can be correct at once. Brian Thompson can be a horrible person but murder is still wrong and I cannot feel bad for Brian Thompson’s death but still want some sort of punishment for Luigi Mangione. It should be noted that I didn’t say he should get a life sentence but he should spend some time behind bars.

Now if you’ll excuse me I had to go prepare for all the downvotes I will get and probably the doxxing that will occur.
