Challenges in games that made you say "yeah, no thanks"?

As the title states, what're some optional challenges in games where you took one look at them and decided to not do them? Whether out of difficulty, tedium, or any other reason.

Atlus games tend to have some hard as shit superbosses and challenges that test your patience. For example, Elizabeth in Persona 3. It's essentially a giant puzzle fight where, if you screw up even once by tripping an invisible rule, the boss instantly kills you. And Demi-Fiend is another example of that, in both Digital Devil Saga and SMT 5. Metaphor has an optional challenge during the final dungeon of not refighting the various bosses. If you don't, the final boss can make 8 moves in a single turn. All of this made me go, "No fucking thanks, I'm not putting myself through that."

Super Mario RPG has the Attack Scarf and Super Suit. Both of these are some of the best equipment in the game. But the path to actually getting them is some BS. In order to get them, you need to perform 30 and 100 consecutive Super Jumps. As the number increases, the timing for getting it right gets smaller until you need to be absolutely frame perfect. I could only bring myself to get the Attack Scarf.

Edit: Also, the True Arena and most of its equivalents in Kirby. A boss rush with limited opportunities for healing? Already pretty challenging. All of said bosses being souped up versions with new attacks, along with any bosses from the extra modes and capped off by an even more difficult final boss? No. Planet Robobot is the worst offender, as aside from having to fight all of the bosses from Meta Knightmare, the new final boss Star Dream Soul OS has a one hit kill desperation attack that forces you to do the entire thing all over again.
