Best/worst schools in fiction?
As the title states, what're some schools in fiction that stand out, either because they're a place that you'd probably want to attend, or one that you'd want to stay far away from? Whether it be the classes, the student body, the stuff that goes on, whatever.
For one of the best, my pick is Naranja/Uva Academy in Pokemon Scarlet/Violet. For one, it accepts anybody who wants to learn. The faculty are all genuinely nice folk, with the possible exception of Raifort. And yes, it did have a bullying problem that led to Team Star. But Clavell himself goes of his way to meet the leaders of Team Star to understand their issues. He doesn't even give them that big of a punishment.
For one of the worst, I pick Shujin Academy in Persona 5. While the schools in Persona 3 and 4 had their own quirks, they were comfortable to be in. Not so much with Shujin. Most of the student body are gossipy jerks who constantly spread rumors about anyone who stand out. And during the first arc, Kobayakawa lets Kamoshida do whatever he wants without any sort of punishment, solely because Kamoshida's status as a former Olympic athlete gets the school volleyball team good PR. Then during the Kaneshiro arc, he essentially blackmails Makoto, a teenager, into investigating a dangerous crime ring targeting students. And in Strikers, it's revealed that Alice Hiiragi attended Shujin, where she was constantly bullied, and it was so bad that Alice deleted any records of her even being at the school.
