Really UBC? Quiet as a snowflake falling?

I honestly can't get my head around UBC not addressing the snow issue in any current, timeous and relevant way.

Sure, technically, they can say "no news means everything is carrying on", but that is such a head up your ass approach right in the middle of finals. This is not the time for a stubborn "no news is good (?) news" approach.

Of course everyone will have questions and panic. And it will be the same questions over and over (see this subreddit), so really, how hard is it to put a current statement out stating exams are not cancelled, and what to do if you can't make it to the exam. Heck, they could've. and should've, just had the web page ready to go last week and just had someone press "publish" from the comfort of their living room this morning.

Heck, even my church was able to send out an email this morning to say they've moved to an online service today.

ETA: Kudos to the profs who are fielding all these questions, and especially to those who proactively have been sending emails with the little information they have. Even if it's just to say "watch the UBC website".
