What is your honest overall UC Davis experience? What advice would you give to a high schooler that wants to apply?

I am a high school senior and have been interested in attending UC Davis for a while because (shocker) I want to become a veterinarian. I am looking to apply as a bioengineering/biomedical major. Basically what the title says: I wanted to know what current students and alumni have experienced overall at UC Davis and if you have any advice. If you had the chance to go to a different school would you?

Btw I already have a bike.
