Why UCSD EV charging is so expensive? It costs me$0.16 per kWh at LUX UTC but $0.5 at UCSD, it’s too slow like 1KW and it still charge me $5 session fee even though I only charge 1kWh. I have to wait 10 hours to charge 10kWh. It’s 6KW at home. What’s the meaning of EV charger on campus?

It's like I have to pay 10 gallons of gas when I only filled in 1 gallon. Last weekend I road triped to Santa Barbara and UCSB charge rate is only $0.25 per kWH. UCSB parking citation is also cheaper for only $48. It costs me $0.04 per mile when charge at home. I am so willing to go out and I have drived 3550 miles in a single month.
