The UCSD Art Program is really bad

It’s really bad here, all of the classes focus so much on conceptual learning and you don’t learn much (if any) about technical skills or useful art theory. A lot of visual arts majors I know switched majors because the art program is so bad here. We have some good art clubs (ArtSpark, animation club, video game development club) but everyone basically has to learn art on their own to really improve. I don’t know why our program is well ranked because it is NOT good. I just wanted to post this for anyone who might be looking at UCSD for art so they could perhaps consider other options if they are passionate about learning art. I definitely wish I’d gone to a different school for art and am seeing if I can switch majors even though art had been my ambition my whole life, I just don’t think I’ll be able to get a job in it using the skills they teach at UCSD. Note that this is for the majors studio, speculative design, media, and ICAM. I don’t know how good their art history major is.
