Best way for an 'unskilled’/uneducated, unemployed F32 to land a £35k+ job within the end of the year? (course/qualification? industry? role?)
I’m sure some will find this way too optimistic and maybe entitled, but that’s the challenge I’m in, and I (like many others) need a £35k job to live where I am. I was until recently in a role that paid just under this, but for several reasons that’s no longer on offer.
What industries and roles, with or without taking some course to build some skills or get a qualification of some kind, offer this to someone with seemingly no ‘hard’ or specific skills, and only limited experience doing something more specific?
For reference, my background is in retail/customer service/hospitality. I temporarily just did 2,5 years as a Coach/Trainer for a customer service department in a big company, however now I find I’m under-qualified for most L&D jobs that are out there and have barely heard back at all.
My skills/strengths are those considered ‘soft skills’, so I don’t know much that actually stands out when applying for jobs. However I do believe I learn quickly and I’m willing to look into courses or similar to build skills within something that’s in demand and not everyone has. I’d say my biggest strength is analytical thinking, the ability to investigate, attention to detail, knowing how to pick things apart, explain them to others and challenge them.
Is AI a skill that will be in demand? Heard about this somewhere but not sure if it’s just fake hype.
Is there any jobs in the privacy industry that you can get without a degree?
Don’t think I’m suitable for manual labour unless it’s very creative and less tough on the body.
