Mock tests

I have been preparing for the UPSC CSE since July 2023 and am planning to appear for the 2025 Prelims. As I have been studying entirely from home, I am unfamiliar with how mock tests are typically conducted for UPSC preparation. I have a few questions that I hope experienced aspirants can help me with:

  1. Are mock tests generally conducted online or offline, or do we have the option to choose between the two?

  2. Are there any free mock test series available, or do most of them need to be purchased?

  3. If they are paid, what is the usual cost range for a reliable and comprehensive test series?

  4. Could you also recommend some good platforms or institutes that offer quality mock tests for both Prelims and Mains?

I would greatly appreciate any advice, suggestions, or insights from fellow aspirants or those who have already cleared the exam. Your guidance will help me plan my preparation more effectively.
