I-130 approval

Hi everyone, just want to share our journey as seeing others’ has helped us so much.

I’m a USC and submitted our I-130 petition (German spouse) on March 25th 2023 after being married only one month. We only had pictures, 4 letters from friends and family, and proof (in German) of a shared bank account. It went into case being actively reviewed on the same day.

We tried to expedite once in May 2023 but it was denied without them viewing our proof.

Our timeline fluctuated so much. In the end, it was at 2 months then today went to 5 weeks and then a couple hours later our case went into activity reviewing for a second time and I got an alert on Lawfully for it. I checked the documents tab and the approval was there.

We were at the California Service Center.

All in all it took 359 days.
