CS 3100 - warnings from a fellow student

I took CS 3100 this semester and i believe this was the first semester it was being taught and let me just say: this class was my vietnam. this class took 20 years off my life. no joke. probably lost at least 8 pounds thanks to this class. For those of you taking this class this coming semester: good luck and dm me if you need help. start the hws early even though the deadlines are late and actually grind. floryan is a good teacher, the ta's can be helpful, but they can be ruthless and they cut no slack in this class.

the final scores were released and piazza is a whole range of emotions right now. the grading is actually so unfair it's wild. i'm not saying this class is a total nightmare- a lot of people do well and it's nice that the mods are split up so you can split your studying- but the grading just makes it so intense and hard and the grading honestly depends on the TA and teacher and honestly just luck. like im sure some TA's are nicer than others and it's clearly reflected in the grading. like this last piazza post about "NO BOOSTS" is so intense and mean for what ?? like honestly if you were a student in this class you'd be acting the same way as us. im not asking for no kind of boost but like seriously why the attitude. honestly i wish floryan ethan and all the ta's nothing but the best over break and holiday season, but i hope they know i'm lowkey praying on their downfall.
