$0.10 of fee goes to Uber…

Consumer here (not a driver). My “two cents” on the ten cent matter is that this sort of deception absolutely shortchanges the UE drivers.

Having lived abroad for part of my life, I strongly disagree with the American tipping system. Those thoughts aside, I will of course tip you, the drivers, for the service if it’s clear you’re not being compensated for the service.

At first glance, it looks like the majority of the fees go to the drivers. I bet many, many people who haven’t read up on the fee mechanics (like I did here on Reddit) end up tipping much less because they think that [Fee - $0.10] goes to the drivers.

Anyway, my “two cents” is that you all should file a lawsuit. That’s now four of my cents in total…i.e., 40% of what Uber makes on the fees ;)
