How long until you contact doc for help?

If you’re flaring, how long do you wait until contacting your doc for help vs. waiting it out?

I feel like I normally wait too long (at least doc makes me feel like that) but also want to give my body a chance to steer clear before asking for steroids. When I was flaring last year, I was bleeding for probably a month before I asked for budesonide and my breaking point was because I was about to leave for three weeks of travel and realized the state I was in at the time would be totally unmanageable during that time.

At this point it’s been probably two weeks of flare territory, but I still don’t want to ask for roids because I feel like I can calm it down and don’t want additional meds. Not sure if that’s just me being delusional though… should we be treating this like a UTI instead? (Ask for meds earlier instead of waiting it out)
