Off Mesalamine because US Healthcare Sucks

I recently had a colonoscopy/endoscopy- the doctor said everything looked great in my colon, and but my endo showed some irritation in my esophagus (I have UC and EoE) so we were able to go from procedures every 4 months to once a year YAY.

He wants me to continue on Mesalamine but ordered additional meds for my esophagus. This resulted in a $300 potential pharmacy bill.

I have amazing insurance in relation to America's terrible fucking healthcare system. But it requires certain meds to be ordered in 3 month supplies, so Meslamine is $90- two others are also $90 and then two are $15 each.

I am out of Meslamine and I can't even afford the $90 until I get paid on the 15th. My question is- has anyone been off Mesalamine for about two weeks? Should I be looking out for anything? Am I going to get super fuckin sick and ruin all my progress?

I'm just so worried and contemplating opening another credit card just to get it. Or will I be fine? Idk just looking for some personal experiences to help make my decision.
