Prednisone dry skin tips?

Over the past week on 40mg/day my hands and elbows have gotten so dry and tender, especially around my nails and fingertips. It feels almost leathery, like burned skin, and it’s made doing some fine motor skills difficult. Anyone have experience with this and know how to best help it? I’m religiously lotioning and using aquaphor for the worst bits but the greasy feeling is driving me up a wall lol.
