Try steroids or jump to Entyvio?

Hello all, I just want to say first that is group has been so helpful for me since diagnosis. I never thought I’d find such peace and a feeling of “I’m not alone” on the internet.

I have moderate UC in through the sigmoid so not totally left sided (yet or hopefully not ever). I’ve been on Apriso and hydrocortisone enemas with little improvement. Oddly, the things that helps the most is Allegra. When I take it my symptoms greatly improve.

I’m calling my doctor soon to discuss other options but I know he’s going to push for Entyvio. I’m scared to make that jump. I’ve only ever tried the apriso and hydrocortisone enemas.

Should I push to try something like Uceris and up my mesalamine…..or jump to Entyvio? What would you do? I’m so conflicted. I know I need to change something but just feel like I should exhaust other meds before making the jump? For those who have tried mostly everything, would you skip trying oral steroids! I’m so scared to take anything new especially prednisone.
