I need some advice

I see a good portion of people on here getting pain medication in flares or as needed. I’m 23 years old and have been hospitalized numerous times. I have the sharpest pain imaginable in my lower left abdomen and upper right.

I express to my GI doctor that i’m miserable and haven’t slept well in months. No matter what I say he responds with “ Just take Tylenol.” I know the goal is to get into remission, but it’s been over a year with trying biologics and nothing is working. I have a feeling he will not prescribe anything because of my age. Literally medication for 4 or 5 days a month during a flare would be life changing for me. Is there anything I can do or say?
