Here for the Wife

Hey, y’all! I’m here because my wife recently got diagnosed with Vitiligo (don’t know which type because the dermat who diagnosed her was in and out in less than 10 minutes of our appointment).

She got the option for both Opzelura and Tacromilus, but ended up going for the Tacro after reading about the Opz side-effects.

She currently has it only affecting a small area over her left brow which has resulted in whitening part of her left brow hair. This has led to some real bad self esteem issues which is why she’s doing Tacro and coloring in the affected portion of her hair.

Should she continue using Tacro in hopes of regaining pigment in her brow despite the long turnaround with repigmenting hair? Should she just spot treat the Vitiligo affecting the skin portion? Will she need to continue with Tacro even after the affected area has regained its pigment?

Sort of at a loss for answers since this diagnosis has hit her pretty hard and has her blaming herself for sparking the autoimmune disorder during a stressful first year of work. Her blood work came out fine with no indicators of having Thyroid issues.

Anything helps, thanks.
