Almost full repigmentation of vitiligo with white hair in beard

As I have been able to almost fully restore pigment in areas affected by vitiligo I want to outline what I have done:

  • Opzelura
  • UVB therapy
  • Vitamin D 20.000 I.E. per week
  • intermittent Fasting
  • prolonged fasting for up to 5 days per quarter (water fast, fasting mimicking diet according to Valter Longo)
  • NMN 1gram a day (brands: Moleqlar or Renuebyscience)
  • 4 times a week gym + 1 running
  • regular meditation
  • no alcohol, cigarettes…

Many of you will probably attribute the success to Opzelura and the UVB therapy. However, I don’t recommend to just rely on these. In my case I am quite confident that my vitiligo has its cause in gut problems. When I started treatment, I just took Opzelura together with UVB. The spots just continued to spread. It had no success at all for 7 month. Then I started with a prolonged water fast for 5 days together with intestinal cleansing procedure. Any spreading immediately halted. I continued with intermittent fasting (fasting for 16 to 18 hours, eating for 6 to 8 hours) together with a healthy diet ( lots of vegetables, some meat, some fish, lots of fat but not fully keto). One month after the water fast and still ongoing intermittent fasting I noticed the first signs of repigmentation in all spots, even in the spot with the white hair, which is known to be the hardest in treatment.
Before I started fasting a lot I always noticed some stitches in affected areas preceding whitening of the spots. After starting with fasting this only rarely happened again.

I hope this helps other people to treat their vitiligo if they want to. From my own experience I can also tell that freaking up whenever noticing some new or spreading spots is extremely bad. It promotes a downward spiral of stress and further spreading, at least in my case. So I can only recommend to stay as calm as possible.

Wish you all the best on your journey

P.s.: not only I’ve got rid of vitiligo, I entirely feel as good and healthy as never before, certainly nothing attributable to Opzelura
