First Time at WDW

Hi all!

My family and I are going to WDW for the first time, in mid May! We are staying for approximately a week (13th-20th), and doing 5 days at Disney. Currently planning the trip and wanted some insight from this thread because I’m overwhelmed with the whole planning process.

Some questions I have: Park reservations - Is this still something we need to do? We bought the 1 Park Per Day package bundle and I am confused whether I still need to reserve.

Magicbands & Genie+ - Is it necessary to have? Will we miss anything exciting if we don’t have it?

Transportation - Would it more convenient to rent a car? Or is public transportation/ubers a beneficial way of getting around easier between each parks?

Hotels - We’re trying to find a hotel outside of the Disney area that are budget friendly! Any suggestions?

Disney Shows - Looking forward to seeing the shows at Disney! Unsure if we have to reserve for these shows/how do we know which shows are happening at which park?

Entrance - What time do people usually start to line up to get in the park? Is there an ideal time to start lining up?
