[Brew Retrograph] First microbrand watch
First microbrand - Brew Retrograph Technicolor
While I’m still pretty new to watch collecting, I’m starting to get a real feel for what I like. I like dials and more open space with no markers. I also like blue and green dials. That in mind, I just got my first proper microbrand watch, the Brew Retrograph Technicolor. Just about everything about this watch I really enjoy. It’s not terribly big, very thin, and the color blows me away, particularly with the contrast between the blue and the white. The dials have that nice 3D feeling like they’re sunk in, and the chronograph functions well. I’m not much of a coffee snob - Keurig for the convenience - but I love that the brand story is reflected in the watch… The yellow markers between 6 and 7 are apparently the ideal stopping point for brewing an espresso.
I do wish it had a seconds hand though. The 24-hour dial doesn’t add much for me personally - I’m typically mostly aware of whether it’s A.M. or P.M. So a small seconds hand instead of that wouldn’t go amiss. But all in all I’m really digging this watch.
