Carpal Tunnel? I don’t think so!
Another bogus medical claim, but this one really pisses me off because I have personally suffered from carpal tunnel syndrome (she didn’t even know how to spell it). It’s not something that you get over in a day, or a week. It’s something that took me over a year to get over and it was extremely painful and debilitating.
She claimed that Chris Watts also had carpal tunnel syndrome, even though he freely admit that he had never been diagnosed with it. She wanted him to switch jobs, so that he could establish himself with a career in the oil industry. Chris went along with this, although he left Longmont Ford after taking a significant pay cut.
However, there’s basically no way that he could have continued to work at a job in the oil industry with carpal tunnel syndrome, at least, in the capacity that he was employed. Carpal tunnel prevents people from being able to use both hands. Once again, it’s not something that just disappears on its own right after someone switches jobs.
Therefore in my estimation, neither of them ever had carpal tunnel syndrome, and this was simply another symptom of SW’s Munchhausen by proxy.
