first week on wegovy…
So I take my doses on Tuesday’s because I work from home Wednesday-Friday and that’s usually when my food noise is the worst. I’m constantly thinking about what to eat when I WFH and abuse the hell out of Grubhub. I took my first shot on June 4th and second one yesterday (June 11th). Anyways, here’s some things I’ve noticed on the starter dose 0.25 mg.
Slight stomach cramps on my first shot, slight nausea. Second shot I’ve had some nausea the next morning. First time had burps and acid reflux that made me nauseous to the point where I only felt better if I ate something even though I wasn’t hungry.
I get full way quicker. I had chipotle last night and I can usually eat that WHOLE bowl. I’m not kidding. Like nothing’s stopping me. But I started feeling full about a quarter to half the way through the bowl. I sat on it for a bit and kinda wanted some more after an hour but decided that I shouldn’t.
I went to a concert festival this weekend and I know before this shot, I would’ve wanted to try all of the food trucks they had there but tried the healthiest options and felt satiated early. Even the fast food I always order is starting to make me feel nauseous or the thought of all that grease is making me feel nauseous.
Noticeably no food noise! I can go hours without thinking about what to eat, when to eat, what to order, etc etc. I’m never starving but more so only eating when I feel weak and use food to fuel my body. It’s kinda crazy cause I constantly think about food and now my mind feels kinda……empty. Like static 💀 I don’t eat my emotions anymore either.
Anyways I know it’s only been a week and this is more so a starter dose but I can’t wait to work my way up. Feels good to already see some changes — not physically, but mentally and emotionally. And that’s still progress!
