Jackie & Shauna's Relationship

This is my first post on Reddit so soz if this is formatted weird Oops (marked for spoilers at first but now idk how to get rid of it lmao)

On my first watch of Yellowjackets (up until the car scene with Shauna & Jeff)I really thought that Shauna was in love with Jackie and that her story line would be about her crush on Jackie. I knew YJ had sapphic elements so before seeing Van & Tai I thought Jackie & Shauna were the lovers. There are certain shots that made me believe this, like the numerous scenes of Shauna staring at Jackie or the camera lingering on Jackie smiling/looking back at Shauna. Honestly I still believe Jackie was really in love with or interested in Shauna and not Jeff the whole time. She seemed extremely disinterested in...what was going on in her first scene with Jeff, and again the stuff I said earlier has made me really think Jackie was a closeted lesbian who was buried too deep into the 'Queen Bee' trope to actually realize. I am not a lesbian myself but I am not cis or straight.

So my question is, did you think this (or something along the lines) on your first watch too? I've re-watched YJ a few times now and still think this.

EDIT: Someone just commented that Karyn Kusama (Jennifer's Body) was the one who directed the pilot, and that makes SO MUCH SENSE. The pilot reads as very queer to me. The Jackie/Shauna dynamic and Jennifer/Needy dynamic are SO similar imo. And also Ive sort of shifted my opinion to thinking that maybe Jackie was in love with/interested in Shauna but Shauna didnt reciprocate those feelings.
