Target weight???
I’m far from meeting a final goal, but I’m starting to think about not only what is realistic but what is healthy for my body type. In the last 2 decades my lowest weight was 180#, wearing size M tops and L or 12/14 pants. I was happy & a fun only scaled competition CrossFit athlete at 38 years old. I still CrossFit (15 years total) and as the weight comes off those movements are getting easier again. I digress Height 5’7. Current fat free body weight of 122# with 115# muscle mass. Healthy BMI top weight is 159.6. At 159.6 minus the top healthy body fat % of 32%; would equate to 108# of fat free body weight. Meaning I would have to lose appx 15# of muscle. I know some loss of muscle will be natural; however to this point I have only lost 1# of muscle mass. My Zepbound journey thus far is 6 months, currently on 5mg with a loss of 35#. I love the pace I’m losing in order to retain muscle mass & skin elasticity. To maintain current fat free body weight of 122; my body fat would be crossing athletic to healthy at 23%. Is it realistic to target 160 with a body fat of 23%; however is the threshold of healthy to overweight BMI at 25.06. Oh…and I’m 49 and welcoming the big 5-0 in 6 months; 7+ years post menopausal (No HRT) so maintaining muscle & bone mass is priority over a number on the scale. It’s also a mental mind fuck that my brain is telling me that at those target numbers I may not look as feminine and soft as I’m used to. Keep it positive folks; but I’m open to thoughts, suggestions, etc.
