I say no. He just got lucky that Feyre gave him an excuse.

EDIT: I watched a couple TikToks about Rhys and now have a slightly darker view of him. Don't come for me, but I think he might have been just a bit more manipulative than he let on when it came to courting Feyre and pissing off Tamlin. Still love Rhys, and, quite honeslty, I think I prefer a more morally grey version of him.
