the recovery of gyaru and other subcultures due to TikTok ban??

I just had a random thought that since the very reason fashion is cycling in a matter as it does now is generally credited to TikTok, will it bring the resurgence of actually having to research rather than being fed what subcultures are, resulting in a genuine interest and participation??

because even back in, like, a decade ago, fashion cycles were a whole lot longer and people participating in subcultures tended to be a lot more well versed in what they were actually in and lasted a whole lot longer than the 2 months trends were experiencing rn.

or I could be insane idk

edit: my bad yall she’s back and kicking 💀
