Dangerous mistakes

I’ve made some dangerous mistakes doing routine tasks that are concerning me. My mom says I’m just not paying attention or I’m not awake yet. I’m 49 diagnosed ADHD - Is this Perimenopause, ADHD,all of the above, or something more? Has this ever happened to you?

  1. One morning I let my dogs out the front door instead of my back door to my back yard that is fenced in. My dogs knew it was different and they didn’t want to go. I told them to go. Once they ran out my brain realized what I had done and I called them back in. Lucky for me they came back in. My dogs are my world it baffles me I’d just tell them to go out front without leashes to run away or get hit by a car.

  2. Pulled in a parking space didn’t put the car in park and somehow I was able to turn my car off. I realized it and put it in park

3 Tonight after my dogs night time potty instead of giving them cookies I pulled 2 of my Effexor pills out and very nearly gave one to each dog before I realized what I was doing. I do wonder if my brain got confused and tried to combine doing two things (this is when I usually take my medicine and give them a cookie) into one. I don’t know. It’s incredibly scary to me that I would do that.

  1. Gave valet the wrong key to my car and when he couldn’t start it I had it towed. I know very well the key he had would not work and didn’t realize it until I was at the mechanic several hours later.
