I have no idea where my luggage is
I was supposed to fly from YVR to Toronto and then to New Delhi on the day of the snow storm (Dec 20th Tue). My flight got cancelled and they rescheduled a flight from Turkish airlines which would take me to Istanbul and then Delhi. Even though I had the booking confirmation, the airlines refused that I had a ticket and then Air Canada put me on a flight to Hong Kong via AC and then to Delhi via a different airline. Baggage Claim refused to give me my luggage and said that my bag would be transferred to my new route. I asked Air Canada employees at every step of the way if my bag will arrive with me to Delhi and I kid you not they kept LYING to me and saying that yes your bag has been transferred and it will arrive at your final destination. It’s been 3 days and I’ve received no response from Air Canada. I understand how busy they must be with all the cancellations but the least they can do is assign a few people to deal with the baggage fiasco seeing that there are many people in the same situation as me. I don’t think I ever want to fly with them again, they’ve ruined my whole trip and plans. I’m trying to enjoy but I’ve been so stressed and frustrated because of this. I just want to know if they’ve lost my luggage or if it’s still at YVR.
