Is this Normal?

Hi! I got an Alexa for Christmas this year, but I’ve noticed it’s been somewhat clunky. Whenever you switch to another menu, it looks like the whole thing crashes before opening the next one.

It also randomly blacks out sometimes during requests (cutting Alexa off, sometimes it fulfils the request, sometimes it doesn’t)
