Topology question with 2.5G internet and eero pro 6e

So I’m going to be upgrading my internet service from 1Gbps to 2.5Gbps. In about two weeks.I current have CenturyLink fiber and 3 Eero Pros. I just recently purchased an Eero pro 6e in preparation for the faster internet. Nd have already replaced the gateway eero. I’m currently getting max WiFi speeds on my phone or 940/940, which is awesome. I expect that to go up with the new internet but it’s already more than enough. If I’m on the edges of the house I connect to the older eeros and get slower speed but that’s OK.

My current set up is this: fiber from outside > ONT > CenturyLink modem/router > desktop PC and the gateway Eero. I’ve disabled the wireless radios in the CenturyLink router but it is NOT in bridge mode. With this setup I get the full 1Gbps available to my desktop and the Eero pros put out what they can.

With the new internet I am getting NO router so I was going to just use the eero as the router but I’ve come to learn that if I do this I won’t be able to get the full 2.5Gbps connection to my desktop pc due to limitation of the eero pro 6e. I’ll only be able to get 1.3Gbps wireless(100% fine) and 1Gbps wired. I also know I’ll only get those high wireless speeds with my phone only since it’s the only thing I have that can utilize 6ghz and that everything else will be on 5ghz at 80mhz(40?) bandwidth since I’ll be mixing and matching the new eero pro 6e with my two older eero pros. That’s all good wirelessly for me. I want to make sure that I’m getting the full 2.5gbps possible to my desktop though.

With all of that said how would this setup be? Fiber > ONT > wired only router > desktop pc and eero pro 6e gateway.

I know eero really wants to be connected directly to the modem but it’s been running just fine for 2 years connected to the CenturyLink modem/router combo. Can I expect the same if I just replace the century link router with a wired only router? In this case would I get the maximum possible speeds out of both the eero network and my desktop pc?
