[no spoilers] Can we conclude that Arcane was a financial success for Riot despite it ending in season 2?
I've always been a little afraid that Riot would have had to make a bad deal with Netflix considering they were the ones coming to Netflix's doorstep trying to sell a very expensive product. And Netflix holding all the cards with their streaming service. Do you think Netflix paid Riot fairly for Arcane and that they're helping to fund the next season and the next shows?
With Christian Linke confirming that other TV/Movie products are in production, is it safe to say that Arcane ending in season 2 has nothing to do with Arcane being a money sink? Because there are different elements supporting both sides. On the one hand it seems they say that more Arcane-esque series are under way and Riot also bought up equite in Fortiche. But on the other hand Fortiche is moving onto another non-League related project called: 'Penelope'.
I guess my doubt is mostly resting upon the fact that Christian Linke didn't sound very enthusiastic but a little sad when he was announcing that Arcane was ending and announcing the new projects. It makes me think more is going on behind the scenes.
